Burnley surprise Crystal Palace with a win

The Clarets won 3-0 in the Premier League at Selhurst Park and Jermaine Jenas had his say on the victory

Burnley returned to winning ways with an emphatic victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park yesterday.

Sean Dyche’s men won 3-0 thanks to first-half goals from Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jay Rodriguez which enabled the Clarets to race to a two-goal advantage.

Matt Lowton’s stunning second-half strike wrapped up the three points for Dyche’s side.

It places the Clarets 16th in the table but 11 points above the relegation zone and clear of the bottom three following the conclusion of yesterday’s action.

Of the three goals, Lowton’s was the pick of the bunch as he slalomed past three defenders, he played a neat one-two before unleashing a thunderous volley into the far left corner.
