For The Azzurris, the stage is very familiar. Italy have participated in seven different major finals since England last played in one some 55 years ago.

History suggests England have entered into unchartered territory compared to their esteemed opponents, but they will be buoyed by the electrifying atmosphere created by the home crowd at Wembley.

Roberto Mancini’s revolution with Italy is within just one step away of clinching a major trophy since their World Cup triumph in 2006.

To their credit, Italy have shown style, determination and passion en route to the final having been perfect in the group stages, while dumping out tournament favourites Belgium and Spain in the knockout stages.

So is football finally coming home? Now we only 90 minutes away from the famous old saying becoming a possibility.

The Three Lions have gone one better than they did in the 2018 World Cup but they will be dreaming to go that extra step to see their captain Harry Kane lift the trophy at a packed Wembley Stadium.

It’s gonna be an intriguing battle tactically as Roberto Mancini and Gareth Southgate pit their wits against each other in what is arguably the biggest game in their managerial careers and whoever gets it right tonight might lead their side to glory.

FEDERICO CHIESA: The Juventus superstar has been one of Italy’s best players in the knockout round so far.
Chiesa has been Azzurri’s top difference-makers in the decisive matches. Chiesa scored one of Italy’s two extra-time goals against Austria in the round of 16 and bagged the team’s only tally in 120 minutes against Spain to fire Italy to the Final.

MARCO VERRATTI : The midfielder can dictate the pace of play in both aspects of the game and can disrupt the best midfielders in the game on his best day.

Verratti’s ability to initiate Italy’s buildup play as well as produce the final pass and create scoring opportunities will be key as the team looks to break down this solid England defence.

RAHEEM STERLING : The Man City star is having the tournament of his life and has been England’s main man at the Euros with three goals and many assists.

Sterling was vital in England’s semifinal victory against Denmark winning a crucial penalty deep in extra time. Sterling will be buzzing against Italy that’s for sure and expect him to keep the Italian defence in their toes.

HARRY KANE: Kane was heavily criticised following a poor start to the tournament but a crucial goal against Germany in the quarterfinals silenced his doubters .

Harry Kane has four goals to date in the tournament and will prove to be England’s biggest goal threat against Italy.

So will it be Home or Rome? It’s definitely coming home, expect England to beat Italy in the Final to be crowned Kings of Europe.
