Los Angeles Lakers are yet to win an NBA game this season following their 110-99 defeat to the Denver Nuggets. Extending their poor start to the season and now they are now 0-4, facing Minnesota Timberwolves in their next game, LeBron James will be looking to lead his team’s turnaround and make them challengers for the championship once again.
Nikola Jokic ‘The Joker’ posted 31 points, 9 assists and 13 rebounds in their win against the Lakers as his team was shooting 45.7% field goals and 26.5% from threes. The Nuggets dominated in every major statistic in the game from rebounds and assists to the number of steals they had and blocks they performed.
LeBron James’ 19 points and 9 assists, as well as Anthony Davis’ 22 points and 14 rebounds wasn’t enough to help the Lakers. Given how unplayable Jokic was in the game, a Lakers loss was quite inevitable and they remain one of only three sides without a win this season (Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings).
While Giannis recorded 43 points and 14 rebounds in Milwaukee Bucks’ 110-99 win over Durant’s (33 points). The Bucks are 3 of 3 so far this season and Antetokounmpo is averaging 36 points per game this season, if this form persists, then it’s not out of the picture to consider the Bucks to reclaim their championship, having won it in 2021.
