Wednesday Match Previews – 8 June 2022

BELGIUM who lost 4-1 at Home to the Netherlands in their Nations League Group A Opener, have won 3 and lost 1 of their last 4 Home Qualifiers but playing a POLAND side, who beat Wales 2-1 in their First Group Appearance and have won 3 and lost 1 of their last 4 Qualifying Away Games, I am Going for the Home Nation.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND who lost 1-0 in Armenia in their Nations League Group B Opener, have drawn their last 3 Home Qualifiers and facing a UKRAINE team, who have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 6 Qualifying Fixtures, while winning 3 and losing 1 of their last 4 Away from Home, I don’t see them winning.

WALES who lost 2-1 in Poland in their Nations Group A Opener, have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 Home Qualifiers but playing a NETHERLANDS unit, who beat Belgium 4-1 Away in their First Group Match and have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 Qualifying Away Outings, I Fancy the Dutch Side.

SCOTLAND play this Nations League Group B Opener, having won 6 and lost 1 of their last 7 Qualifiers, while at Home, they have won 3 and lost 1 of their last 4 and facing an ARMENIA outfit, who beat the Republic of Ireland 1-0 at Home in their First Group Appearance but have drawn 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 Qualifying Away Games, they should be too good.

GABON who beat DR Congo 1-0 Away in their AFCON Group I Opener, have won 2 and drawn 1 of their last 3 Home Qualifiers and playing a MAURITANIA side, who beat Sudan 3-0 at Home in their First Group Fixture but have lost their last 3 Qualifying Away Encounters, I am Going for the Home Team.
