Mamelodi Sundowns new signing Haashim Domingo has outlined what he wishes to achieve following his arrival in Chloorkop.
Domingo joined Sundowns from Bidvest Wits, who were sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila back in June, and is one of 14 new signings at the club this season.
The 25-year-old midfielder made his debut in The Brazilians’ opening clash of the season as they went down to Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 quarterfinals, before also getting a run out in their opening DStv Premiership win over Kaizer Chiefs.
A graduate of Ajax Cape Town’s youth structures, he has already played abroad in Portugal and Norway prior to joining Wits back in 2018 but has now set his sights on the CAF Champions League as well as Bafana Bafana.
“I am enjoying the time I have spent with the club since joining and you know, Sundowns have a lot of great players and that is what made me join the team,” Domingo told Downs’ website.
“It has been a great time and I am learning every day at training. I want to play regularly, help the team to win trophies more especially the CAF Champions League.
“By playing [regularly for Sundowns], that will also help in my chances of playing for Bafana Bafana.”
